Ruby in color. Aromas of strawberry & tobacco. Flavors of cherry & strawberry fruits are prominent, with hint of chocolate on the finish. Was not as big and bold as I expected for a Reserve Merlot.

Blown away by this wine. 100% Cabernet Franc. It is very French in nature and has lots of over tones of a cotes du Rhône / Beaujolais. Dry with soft fruit and very nice vanilla finish.

I don’t really think I cellared this too long, but maybe I did. I found the wine to have a pleasant nose but it was quite linear on the palate. No real tannins to speak of and I found it to have a very present tartness that I didn’t think belonged given the price point of this wine.

Drank it but was disappointed and not up to the general Childress quality.

Unable to detect any aromas, totally lacking any nose at all. I can’t recall ever having a wine totally lacking in this respect before. On the palate some red cherry, and cedar, not unpleasant, short finish, lacking any complexity.

Burgundy in color. A nose full of new leather, fresh with a hint of cedar. Full body wine with tastes of ripe red fruit, spice, smokiness. Long finish leaves a great finish..

Definitely has some of that under-ripe east coast flavor, but certainly drinkable, especially out of juice glasses in a hotel room.

Full body with a light brick in color with some variation on the tongue. Cherry with earthy notes on the nose. Initial taste fruit forward with an elderberry and spice (cloves) combination. Soft tannins with a long velvet finish. After decanting edges smoothed out.

Ripe, bright cherry and blueberry nose with light oak and herb. Light- to medium-bodied wine. Plenty of acidity, oak, fennel and more cherry that lingers on the finish.

Non vintage year that's been in the cellar for more than a few years. Dark red with subtle variations in color. Needs more time to breath. Initially some sour cherry notes, but after a few minutes shows gentle tannins with a little tartness on the finish.

Ruby in color with thin legs. Light bodied more in line with a Pinot noir than Childress Meritage. Not much on the nose, just hint of cherries. Velvety smooth with no tannins or sharp edges with med finish. Works well with tomato based pasta dishes.

Golden yellow with thick heavy slow legs. Coats the inside of the glass. Banana to pineapple on the nose with hint of nut. Creamy with citrus bite forward with a smoky/oakness in the mid palate but finishes clean and smooth. Paired with honey lime grilled shrimp, which works well with the wine.

Little past prime on this one, Lots of brown hues. Candied dark fruit forward "little sweetness" with a taste of white pepper towards finish. Did not score because l kept past prime and would be lower due to that.

Wine aged very well, deep color, (brick brownish hues due to age). The tongue shows several distinct color variations. Nose has hint of leather and tobacco. A little sharp but smoothed out after decanting. Nice medium tannins with a lingering complex finish of tart black cherry.
