4/27/2024 - Jonti Likes this wine: 90 pointsTypical color, light on the aroma out of the bottle. More acid than expected, but within 30 minutes had smoothed out to cherry fruit and heavier body notes. Easy to drink by itself once breathing, but would have been better bottled to pair with food. |

4/15/2024 - IlliniWine Likes this wine: 89 pointsMy wife ordered a glass of this at dinner tonight. Very expressive nose with lots of dark fruit and smoky notes. Medium plus body with predominantly dark cherry fruit and nice tart acidity. Smooth drinking, almost cola-like, goes down a little too easily! Good PQR and a nice weeknight pour. |

2/16/2024 - OldHick95 Likes this wine: 87 pointsLemon, starfruit (which disappeared after a few minutes in the glass, a little too smooth in the mouth (from malo perhaps) but saved a bit by some citrus-like acidity on the finish. OK, but not thrilled that I have half of a bottle left in the fridge. |

1/29/2024 - VlgJeff wrote: 86 pointsA Copper Cane (= Joe Wagner) product. A Pinot Noir from various sites in "Oregon's Western Maritime regions". Not quite as bad as its sister (manufactured) Pinot Noir from California - Meiomi. This wine does lean a bit darker than many OR pinots with some black cherry, red cherry, cranberry, earth and a touch of vanilla. Overall, the wine presents as one dimensional but certainly does have its following. |

Very nice complement with turkey blending well and not aggressive, but also held its’ own against cranberries. It is a very nice chardonnay, and I am looking forward to opening the next bottle. |

10/30/2023 - The Drunken Cyclist Does not like this wine: 79 pointsRetail $12 (375ml). Under screw cap. I know we got this in a hotel room and I probably should have left it there, but I honestly wanted to taste it. I am no fan of any of Joe Wagner's wines, but he certainly seems to know how to make a sheet ton of money producing them. So. Elouan. Pretty much ubiquitous: in grocery stores, in drug stores, in hotel lobbies, even in convenience stores. But is it any good? Well, no, not really, unless you like over-extracted, rather souless wines that are a bit sweet and really, well, more of a "wine-beverage" than an actual wine. Other than that, it's fine. |

9/25/2023 - pizzamaker wrote: 85 pointsPale purple. Effusive baked cherry. Followed by wet leaves, bacon and smoke. Unfortunately there is a layer of chemical/alcohol that is borderline overpowering and unenjoyable. Medium acid, smooth and long finish. |
