2/1/2024 - olracx62 wrote: 89 pointstypical cepages from Valle d'Aosta (mainly local Merlot) which requires a long cellaring before delivering round and soft tasting. Pellerin confirms, even though it's been "elevè en fut de chene". So wait some other years before drinking |

5/1/2023 - bram_epicurien Likes this wine: 91 pointsFirst of May in Europe so a nice Monday off. Felt like a Burgundian white tonight so tried this and we were not disappointed - you would be hard pressed to distinguish this from a village or even premier cru Montrachet. Beautiful golden color. Smoky nose, sweet pineapple, citrus, hay, on the nose. Med acidity, med body, med flavor intensity, med finish. Very balanced mouth, a touch of vanilla, sweet pineapple, nice lingering salinity. The vanilla could have actually caught this one out from the Montrachet fame. Excellent though and great QPR. |

3/23/2023 - blank blank wrote: 91 pointsShockingly good - this could easily pass for a tippy top quality viognier. A floral and tropical nose makes you expect a flabby wine, but no! This has tons of acid and dry extract and tastes almost like a Puligny. There’s some oak on this, but the wine easily has the stuffing to stand up to it. Nice! |

11/19/2022 - bram_epicurien Likes this wine: 92 pointsSaturday evening in Milano. Osteria Conchetta - excellent traditional Milanese food - strongly recommended. I asked the sommelier for a Nebbiolo but he recommended this wine with the risotto riserva. Medium purple color. Beautiful nose, cherry, mushroom, black pepper, dust. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, Med+ flavor intensity, dry tannins and med+ finish. Beautiful fruit and tannins, some greenness from the 40% whole bunch pinot noir, gripping salinity, mouthfiling opulence. Excellent 👌 |

2/10/2022 - cbforever1 wrote: 86 pointsVery disappointed by this one. It clearly avoid the oaky fat style chard and try mimic chablis. But the mouth is quite hollow and the acidity not well integrated perhaps also chemical to be honest. On top of that it is ridiculously expensive. |

3/23/2021 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NR{magnum} PnP enjoyed over three hours. Nearly all of its oak at release has integrated, beautifully, I might add. This is full, never cumbersome or sweet, with profound length and above-average complexity. A joy now, and the next 5-7 years, at least. The 15,0% abv. is fully integrated. highly recommended |

This wine shows incredible balance and charm, with good+ weight and great nuance and complexity. There is a superb old vine concentration here. I didn’t know what to expect from this very expensive bottle, but was very pleased and relieved. |

9/10/2020 - olracx62 Likes this wine: 89 pointsnice Pinot Noir entry level for Anselmet. Seductive nose with hints of smoke and gentle wood, typical notes of the grape, not too complex but true and typical. In a hot evening during these 14days awaitning to escape. |

8/1/2020 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRMore than casual, less than very good; certainly pleasant. A blend of Chardonnay, (Chambave) Muscat, Muller Thurgau, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer from 6 different parcels between 700-900m asl; 8 days maceration. Raised only in stainless steel, I like the blend, but it's missing that extra cut of acidity that could propel this much higher. The 90 quintals/Ha probably have something to do with the over-all punch factor, too. Enjoyable under $20 USD, but probably not a repurchase until the '18 is on the shelf. 13,0% abv. Natural cork, drink now thru 2022. recommended |

12/30/2019 - olracx62 Likes this wine: 89 pointsAnselmet has succeeded in making Torrette a very elegant and classy wine. Differently from the other torrette from other producers, this has a touch of gentle and balanced oak which delivers elegance and makes this blend of petit rouge (75%) Fumin (25%) and cornalin (5%) a very enjoyable wine. Some smoke and some spices make this wine a perfect complement to Toma or Fontina valdostana cheese even if it's very good also alone. Don't miss this pairing. After a long walk to Genzianella under Mont Blanc at the end of this 2019 |
