Deep garnet in color. Nicely balanced tannins. Berries, jammy, herbs, floral notes (violet?). A fun wine.

A: deep ruby
N: pronounced intensity aromas of violet, floral notes, red and black cherry, dried herbs, blackberry, vanilla, earth, mint
P: dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) fine, smooth tannins, high ABV, full body, pronounced flavors, long finish.
C: outstanding wine, rich, ripe but with balanced acidity/tannins and bright red/black fruit, concentrated, has intensity, long finish. Feels almost new world in style - smooth, polished - but with a touch of central Italy character.

I tried a sip after opening the bottle. The wine was pretty closed and tannic. It improved a lot after 1 hour in the decanter. It's young but already very good with 1 hour of air. 92. pts at the moment.
