Friday Night Brown Bagger (R&R's): Blind. Red berry fruit, forest floor, hints of leather- rustic. Medium-bodied. Better palate than the bouquet suggests. Lovely mature red fruit. You could have conginced me that this was either an older syrah or older pinot, and definitely not Chambolle, soI did not pick this out as our bottle.

While not what I expect from Chambolle, this is still a nice mature wine in its own right. This hadbeen double decanted off its sediment just shy of three hours before the flight was poured.
