This delightful Rhone blend showed good balance and stood its ground with grilled food showing plum and black fruit up front with a healthy palate cleansing acidic finish.

Well-crafted Zin with bright forward fruit, good tannic balance throughout and softer finish than I prefer in Zins, but it paired nicely with grilled chicken and corn-on-the-cob.

For a 13 year old blend, this wine shows lots of character. Tannins are nearly gone, but the bright fruit Zin, Petite Syrah and Syrah are still intact. Well-crafted and still in balance. I whish I had another bottle.

Deep rich color. Cigar box and tar on the nose. Dark red fruit on the mid-palate. And a pleasant acid finish that complimented the penne pasta and spicy sausage. Tannins were ample, but under control and will seerve to keep the fruit in this wine for several more years

Very drinkable for a 2009. Blueberries on the nose followed by bright red fruit. Paired well with chicken florentine. Good everyday table wine at $20.

Tasted at the winery with a cheese course (protein helps, but this wine doesn't need it); it has come into it's own. Brownish color, dark fruit with a heavy terrior Bordeaux nose. Good structure with ample round tannins. The mid-palate showed strong black fruit and the finish has enough spice to keep the palate interested in the next sip.

Shows better than the 04 with a pleasant cigar box nose, ample bright red fruit in the mid-palate, and a food worthy acidic finish. Not enough tannins to drink much longer. Good value for a 2nd growth. Tasted at the winery with dinner.
