This is the first time I've felt compelled to add a tasting note. I purchased a magnum of this wine at the large bottle format sale in November of 2008 and consumed it in April of 2009. The wine was beautiful red fruit and leather on the nose, with plums and tobacco on the palate. The tannins and acid were well balanced for the age of the wine and it went perfect with lamb chops. My father in law thought it was the best wine he’d ever had, and just thinking about the wine while writing this review has made me decide to head out to the winery this weekend to try to get at least one more magnum.
