8/4/2023 - inspiredron Does not like this wine: 72 pointsI found this wine disappointingly thin in flavour and colour and rather acid on the palate. No finish at all. It is a cheap wine and so not much can be expected but there are so many infinitely superior wines at the same price point (particularly when Tesco have their 25% off offers) that I would not bother buying this one again. |

7/5/2022 - inspiredron Likes this wine: NRThis was my last bottle of this excellent wine which I laid down in 2001. It had kept very well, though some of its rich colour had faded. Cork was incredibly tight in neck but came out intact. The wine was as smooth, full fruited and bold as ever. A superb accompaniment to our Guinea Fowl. |

1/5/2022 - inspiredron wrote: NRIf a reasonable wine is kept well, and particularly with a screw cap there seems little limit to its potential. This was excellent at almost 19 years old. Drank half the bottle with a fish pie and the other half with fresh salmon. Very guilty and, despite its age not at all oxidised. It has been kept in a dark cellar at a steady 50F to 55F ever since it's purchase! Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

10/15/2021 - inspiredron Likes this wine: 83 pointsQuite disgusting that this bottle (and it's companion) has been overlooked. However, it has more than survived it's ordeal. The colour is perhaps a little darker than optimum but the nose is still fresh and fruity and the flavour untarnished. So what can ever be thought wrong with a screw cap! An excellent Sémillon Chardonnay which complemented our simple fish dish perfectly. |

9/5/2021 - inspiredron Likes this wine: NRI did wonder if, as a second wine, it would have gone past its best. It was superb with soft tannins, oodles of fruitiness on the nose and a long finish. |

8/1/2021 - inspiredron wrote: NRThis wine has kept remarkably well. The slight acudty that was detectable 7 years ago has mellowed, leaving a clean, fresh , feuity and slightly sweet white with a long finish. Compares very favourably with other Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc's. |
