Drunk from magnum and won in a blind tasting against a Petrus from the same vintage.
Enjoyed with Claves liver and pancetta, the perfume was evocatively long and finish had a length that surprised me. Still has many years to go but has reached a soft and very quickly approachable age, though it did benefit from an hour of decanting.

A regular go to wine for an uncomplicated mouthfeel and easy drinking. Great at a BBQ and for quaffing over a casual evening. It will get better over the next 5 years but works well now

Bought 2 Bottles at Auction and opened with some trepidation as they had been stored in a damp cellar. The Honeyed notes, gave way to a burnt Basque Cheesecake/Creme Brûlée richness, tasted again after 6 hours and apricot jam was present. One bottle to go and will save it for 5/10 years

Wine opened up significantly after an hours decant and got better over the next hour. Red fruit and graphite on the nose with an earthy undertone of pepper. Not the most lively 82, but certainly reflects the greatness of the vintage.
