11/26/2012 - td7340 Likes this wine: 88 pointsPop and pour, it was hot out of the bottle, aromas of bourbon, cherry, and vanilla. First taste showed layers, but a confused and all over pallet experience. Time in the decanter and in the glass helped immensely, layers settled in, cherry note with a big round and bold mouth feel gave way to a new leather and cassis, with a spice and vanilla note to end. I enjoyed the following glass with a small piece of dark chocolate to end the evening. |
