It’s a little heavier than a Pinot from this producer but has a wonderful body and a lingering finish that has you coming back for more. Lovely dark fruits with a little spice. In the glass is brick red with a translucent rim. On the palette, it's medium bodied with a lingering finish - which makes it feel more complex. I get red/purple fruits on the taste with hints of cola and cinnamon. I think these Zins are some of the best for their value and \ personal care to the wines. |

The nose alone gets a 95, and while it doesn't quite live up to that promise, this is a Zin-lover's Zin, with plenty of fruit, but a wonderful balance with tannins and integrated alcohol, despite the fact that this is a big wine. Well done, and while I don't think it will get much better than it is now, I very much wish I had more than one left in the cellar. |

Nose: Dark chocolate with cherry chunks, natural red cherry fruit leather, black raspberry, sweet cigar. Structure: a rush of acidity is followed by lush and delicate tannins. Palate: there’s a deep ness to it. The nose and palate aren’t that different and all the fruit and dark chocolate don’t seem over extracted or overripe in any way. This is solid stuff that can probably hang on for a couple more years. |
