In the mouth, tastes of blackberry and pepper dominate. The finish is hot with pepper, blackberry and medium length. Overall, while it edges towards the rough side, it is very drinkable right now. |

NV Lovers Leap Vineyards & Winery Blackberry Dessert Table WineKentucky more |
10/30/2005 - jeolsen wrote: 88 pointsIf you like blackberries, this is a great dessert wine. Not "syrupy" sweet like most dessert wines, so the blackberry flavors really come through with subtle layers of cherry as well. Very pleasant bright nose, and just a bit tart on the palate. The finish is a bit short, but the fruit carries through to the end. Great by itself, though really paired well with our New York style Cheesecake. |
