8/30/2017 - Rick 4 Wine Likes this wine: 92 pointsReally enjoyed this wine. Needed some air but this site must get some cool weather at night, because I wouldn't have pegged this for a Napa Pinot. Alexander Valley? Sure, even maybe a 1st Cru Burgundy, but not Napa. This nose is cristaline and pure with cherry but loads of game meat complemented by floral bouquet. The body is more pronounced with fruit but some Asian spices come through toward the finish. Not much loam or garrique but secondary organic nuances befitting youth. I look forward to seeing how this ages. Great QPR. |
