Almost a light, dry red wine. Notes of fruit underneath. Sturdy enough to stand up to more substantial cheeses and hors d'oeuvres.

Pleasing, especially upfront on nose and first taste, bitter cherry and herbs, but finishes a bit quick. Perhaps needs more bottle time?

Smooth medium-bodied wine. Tannin is present but very moderate. Notes of leather and spice. Slight bitterness around the edges. A good wine but could be slightly better.

Decent pinot. No noticeable flaws. Moderate fruit on the palate, medium tannins on the middle and soft, glycerin finish.

Deep straw color immediately suggests a stereotypical buttery California Chardonnay. Unfortunately (for my taste) this turned out to be the case. Heavy influence of new oak and malolactic fermentation on the palate overwhelmed the green apple and faint acidity. Not much of a nose beyond the alcohol, aforementioned apple, and a semblance of tropical fruit (possibly papaya?). This is a heavy wine for anyone, and especially for those who lean towards the unoaked whites. I received this bottle from the winery via a Groupon deal, so I'm relieved I didn't pay for it. I have a sneaking suspicion the winery new this Chardonnay was past its prime, so they opted to give it away. An okay wine to open up for a gathering, but that's about it.

PNP. Nose of dust with hints of cherry. A bit tart on the tongue up front but showing a solid mid-palate of red fruits. Finish has some length but is intermixed with some astringency thats a bit off putting. Probably a few better choices at the $20 price point but not a disaster.

Gem-quality garnet. Raspberry, spice, and rose on the nose. Medium to full bodied, pomegranate, dirty cherries, pepper, well integrated tannins, good acid, and a medium long, jolly rancher candy-coated finish. A good, Cali-style pinot.

Had a glass at a restaurant and really enjoyed it. A good mix between old world and new world. There's darker fruits, undergrowth, but also some new world cocoa or chocolate. A bit if heat, but I think it should have been served cooler.

This wine was a chameleon. Immediately, a smokiness in the nose, reminiscent of RRV but with the tell-tale Central Coast meatiness/gaminess. The respectable acidity was in the forefront and though a little hot, it's heat was nicely masked by a rich, almost chunky finish; both, which carried throughout the entire bottle. About 2 1/2 hrs in, this wine significantly lightened up...matching it's very light color; appearing more like a Sonoma Coast bottling. However, saved by the aforementioned acidity and finish, it stopped short of ever turning uninteresting.
I know nothing about this producer but, for the very characteristics noted above, I've got to imagine they could and so should produce a notable Syrah. Similarly unaware of the price point, if anywhere in the $35 & under range, I feel it's justified.(88-90)
