2012 Château La Mission Haut-BrionPessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend more |
3/26/2021 - itsallaboutwine Likes this wine: 94 pointsBlind. Far from being obviously Bordeaux, Full bodied and very concentrated. Not very classic or classy in my book but what an amazing concentration. Remind me of Top St Estephe on that showing. would like to give it another 5 year... |

2010 Germano Ettore BaroloNebbiolo more |
3/23/2021 - itsallaboutwine Likes this wine: 92 pointsSeems modern in my book (but the oak is well judge), with fatness, dark cherry elements and no dry roses at that stage. Tannins as expected. Lots of stuffing for an entry level Barolo. Maybe a bit one-dimentional but delivering above expectation. |

12/18/2020 - itsallaboutwine wrote: 86 pointsMy very first bottle from this producer. Slight V/A on the nose, same on the palate and it becomes even more present on day 2. To make it short true to the grape but not a very charming or refined example. |

12/7/2020 - itsallaboutwine wrote: 88 pointsFairly light color for Zin, V/A on the nose, then Xmas pudding and red fruits, on the medium bodied palate part of the fruit is a bit cooked, with high alcohol, but surprisingly with high acidity too, almost no tannins. A strange fresh style but not better than a fuller more OTT exemple in my book. Maybe better on released or bad storage? Drink up. |

2014 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers Vieilles VignesPinot Noir more |
11/28/2020 - itsallaboutwine Likes this wine: 92 pointsDeep color for the vintage and the appellation. Nose needs time to become interesting and changing. medium bodied but pretty full for a Chambolle, great texture, the fruit is on the darker side, the wine seems to shut down a bit, even on day 2. My guess is this mini Bonnes Mares probably needs more time in bottle. |

2017 Domaine Patrick Rols Aveyron Les AnciensCabernet Franc more |
11/28/2020 - itsallaboutwine wrote: 88 pointsTasted blind: Young wine, most probably organic or low sulfates without being too faulty, seems syrah based (it's actually a Bordeaux Blend!), with a rustic and fresh edge to it. Nothing special but balanced and seems to over-deliver for the region. An interesting discovery. |

2017 Cave Sebastien Blachon St. Joseph AlbanSyrah more |
11/25/2020 - itsallaboutwine Does not like this wine: 87 pointsFirst experience with this estate. Okish but on that showing disappointingly far too "normal" and most definitely far below similar wine from other growers/estates sold at similar prices. In my book it lacks stuffing and sexiness. |

11/25/2020 - itsallaboutwine Likes this wine: 89 pointsGood, well made, super fresh and very easy to drink beware! Not the most aromatic example of the variety, as often I was expecting a bit more as it is supposed to be a benchmark. |

11/30/2020 - itsallaboutwine Likes this wine: 90 pointsI don't understand the previous rating: This is an amazing value for money, at the normal retail price (around 9€) it simply kills any Pinot Noir worth sometimes twice that price. |
