You definitely get a sense of that here -- the cool crispness of it, with intense minerality the way a Mosel feinherb can get. If there's a strike against this, it's that the midpalate feels light in that there isn't the same density as, say, Finger Lakes or Oregon. But this is certainly a unique expression of riesling all the same, and quite tasty at that. |

4/22/2024 - John McCabe wrote: 92 pointsQuite delicious and satisfying. The Peony Lane wines are not the last word in power, but they are quite inviting, feel well-made and likely a good expression of the unique terroir, and well-priced. I hope to buy more. |

4/16/2024 - John McCabe wrote: 91 pointsI found this to be quite delicious, with inviting light red fruit, light to medium-bodied. I find the Peony Lane wines to not have so much power, but they are attractive and expressive nonetheless and seem to be ideal for early drinking vs. Napa cabs. I like that the wine-maker is a bitcoiner and prefers bitcoin as payment too. |

4/4/2024 - Henman Likes this wine: 89 pointsBest before 11th September; 5,8% alcohol. Medium to full bodied, smooth and off-dry, showing good citrus and grapefruit notes with gentle hoppy bitterness and light piney finish. This was really round and fruity for an IPA. A great quaff after the sauna. |

2/26/2024 - Discobiscuits42 wrote: NRNose reminds me of banana bread, big baking spice vibes. The spice is surprisingly not too far overused but the fruit is deficient and the texture is quite viscous--simply overwhelming. An unfortunate bitter finish. I appreciate the style of what they were trying to do, but ultimately, it was unsuccessful, reminiscent of a renaissance fair drink with far too much cinnamon stick. |

2/18/2024 - ColoradoAg Likes this wine: 91 pointsStill relatively tight at first opening when cold. Opened up nicely with some time and paired well with prime rib. Last glass, the next night, was much better balanced. Recommend decanting approx 1-2 hours ahead of pouring. We'll increase rate of bottle opening but expect these will be enjoyable for 8-10 years. |

2/3/2024 - finlero Likes this wine: 91 pointsVibrant, clean ruby, easy to see through the glass. Almost Burgundian nose of cherry, licorice, barnyard. The youthful vibrance really leaps out on the palate, fairly acidic profile of wild strawberry and pie cherry. Long finish, low tannins, maybe a shade too hot for a 13.3%. Great with food. This would be a good bottle to serve to a mixed gathering of wine nerds and non-wine nerds; it's interesting without being weird or unapproachable. Drink or hold. |
