Benefits from a long aeration time. Great VFM (Irma, 8 US dollars). |

Juicy, concentrated berry fruit and soft chocolate in the mouth with fairly tight tannins, that stays for a long time with a slightly bitter liquorice in the end. Reminds me more of a young Barbera D'Alba I tasted recently than the Burgundy / Barolo-style wines I previously have tasted from Etna (Cantine Valenti). Certainly a potential for development, that probably will make it a little more elegant. |
