12/6/2022 - jadedw11 Likes this wine: 92 pointsOrdered as the value option on a highly marked-up fancy London club wine list. Very much surprised to the upside- fabulously elegant and seemingly at peak, with no hint of old age in colour or taste . Definitely outperformed expectations of the vintage, the appellation and the classification. |

5/27/2022 - jadedw11 Likes this wine: 94 pointsVery enjoyable but in a surprising and unexpected way. Could easily be mistaken for a white wine on the nose with a distinct note of smoky vanilla; smokiness persists on the palate but not in a bad way. Mature but still fresh-tasting. Some may find it too idiosyncratic but we all liked it. |

12/10/2020 - jadedw11 Likes this wine: 89 pointsDrunk from a half bottle at a tasting. Very distinctive honey overtones in the bouquet and the mouth. Only the faintest hint of oak. Elegant, refined, delicious. Young, and no one should be even thinking about opening the full-sized bottles now, but should be spectacular later on. |

7/24/2020 - jadedw11 Likes this wine: 90 pointsPleasantly surprised by how well this bottle showed. Decanted for about 90 mins, then initial impressions were of aged fustiness, but over time it opened up and a surprising amount of still youthful fruit came through. Probably won't stay in this enjoyable state for so much longer though so intend to drink the rest of the case sooner rather than later. |

After about 90 minutes in the decanter however, both bottles opened up to a pleasant though surprisingly light state. Did not taste excessively aged, but was probably just not a great vintage to begin with. In any case, direction seems only likely to go down from here so will be drinking up. |

11/13/2016 - jadedw11 Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis surprised significantly on the upside- opened on a whim for a very casual Sunday lunch, so <30 mins in the decanter before the first glass. Showed well immediately though and got better, though bottle was finished within an hour or so. Little noticeable signs of age to the colour; strong blackcurrant and vanilla notes, soft and elegant. Suspect it is at peak right now so will start drinking up. |
