2015 Château Haut-BaillyPessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend more |

The next day i gave it another 2 hours of air and it came out like a bomb! A lot of inconvenience, yet surprises at the end. It reminded me of Durfort Vivens 18, a first class wine in perfect balance and finishing. Could age for years but i wouldnt wait to experience this classy wine. |

12/7/2023 - kelvinkyng Likes this wine: 93 pointsquite amazed with this second wine of Figeac, that after all these years can maintain such balance and finesse, with primary secondary and tertiary notes. alcohol 13%. PnP, great QPR at US60 a bottle. don't miss it, drink now. 50CS 30CF 20ML, per info from Figeac. |

2018 Château Petit-FigeacSt. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend more |
12/5/2023 - kelvinkyng Likes this wine: 93 points39% merlot 16% cab franc 45% cab sav. took a sip every hour after decanting and 4 hrs were optimal for it to open up nicely and balanced, with freshness, smooth tannins and savory finishing. it did have a bit of the figeac character, yet i would easily be mistaken that it was a grand vin from medoc. the duration of airing made a big difference. so take your time. |

2016 Château Petit-FigeacSt. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend more |
11/28/2023 - kelvinkyng Likes this wine: 93 pointsdecanted for 4 hrs and it started to transform to an amazing gem, with plenty of freshness, aromas and tastes of fruits, cigar and wood. good finishing with slight sweetness. i think this 16 does resemble the grand vin with its grape composition, while the 18 PF is more like a medoc, yet still delicious. this second wine outperforms a lot of other grand vins. |

9/22/2023 - kelvinkyng Likes this wine: 96 pointsaired for 5 hours before drinking, and it would open up nicely with primary and secondary notes. last time a 2 hour decant was too tight. 1996 Château Lafite RothschildPauillac Red Bordeaux Blend more |
9/22/2023 - kelvinkyng Likes this wine: 98 pointscork was still nicely intact. once bottle poured in decanter, distinctive aromas came bursting out like dynamite, ample secondary tertiary notes. small amounts of residues. think an hour of air is good enough to start sipping, and it kept evolving in the next few hours. '96 is ready for drinking, and very enjoyable, though i would recommend to save enough time to savor the long long finishing which it didn't seem to end! |
