August 31, 2022 - The nose has sweetness and shows black cherry and blackberry,blond tobacco,licorice,graphite and subtle floral scents.The palate is powerful, opulent with rich and succulent tannic structure and a finish that lasts and lasts.But quite a different kettle of fish than 16 and 18.Not decadent at all,this is more classical in style and much more serious.Needs time to soften.

I bought a couple of cases of 2019 Bordeaux, including 3 of these. I have not had a 2019 yet, but plenty of 2016 and 2018. If more tame than those vintages, that is right up my alley. I love those 2 vintages but appreciate the more "classical" vintages. Cant wait to pop these open in a few years -
