October 8, 2023 - Opened and left in bottle for about six hours then another two in a decanter. Consumed over a few hours.
Not as big as the 2018 at least as I recall - but nothing wrong with that. Woody, baking cherries and leathery on the nose. Almost full bodied palate is awash with blueberry. Some tar and cedar as well. Finish lingers for close to a minute. Was surprised at the amount of sediment in the bottle.

August 14, 2023 - amazing bright wine--very rounded structure with layers of elegance and robustness. this was better the second day--as the integrated tannins come out and become soft velvet. blackberry, raspberry with traces of lead and graphite
