  April 13, 2009 - Very odd aroma on opening. It's not corked, not VA, not SO2, not brett; I'm not sure what's going on, but it's not pleasant. Certainly, the alcohol is poking through. Palate is bitter, though there is some bright red fruit underneath. After about 15 minutes, the odd aromas blow off somewhat; still a bit odd, but showing more red fruit and spice. Palate leans to pomegranate and cranberry. Not sure what to make of it; seems very disjointed.
