  July 2, 2023 - A little more dry than I expected. Slightly sweet with notes of brown sugar, honey, citrus and a pervasive nuttiness, somewhat walnut in character. The nuttiness becomes more dominant through the long finish.

  9/26/23, 6:31 PM - It was paired with an olive oil-based apple cake with caramel. The pairing was not the best. Although the cake was on the rustic and savory side and not overly sweet, it was still a bit too sweet for the madeira. The madeira stood better alone, as a digestif.
