  September 2, 2009 - On the nose, nice fruit with a slightly sour backdrop, along with an earthiness in the background. On the palate, it changes quite a bit over time. Opens up nicely balanced and good depth initially, and then fades fairly quickly in the glass becoming a tad thinner than I prefer. A couple hours later, it opens back up into a very elegant style, with notes of resin and stems adding complexity to a very pure fruit. Slightly tannic on the finish. All in all, I think this one could use a couple of years. I also think WS underestimated its drinking window. I think this will last longer than 2011.
