  October 23, 2011 - Mpls Does Big Domestic Reds (Fire Lake, Mpls): Very dark red color, no bricking. I found this to be outstanding. Gave it a 30 minutes decant, improved over 30 minutes more and was going strong 3 hours later. Nose had a perfume of florals, damp earth, blueberry, cassis, graphite, subtle oak. The palate is gorgeous with a nice core of dark fruit, graphite, oak, and mineral, soft with velvety tannins, nice acid, and a very long finish, oh so elegant. My WOTN, 94+pts.
