November 13, 2011 - Sunday Brown Bag Tasting (Rich & Dana's): The lightest color of the flight, but still deep garnet/crimson in color. Aromas of tobacco, iodine, red currants and underbrush- immediately thought of Graves. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and flavors of red fruit, iodine, mint and underbrush. Earth, iodine, red fruit, dried mushroom and forest floor notes dominate as it opens further in the glass. Lovely, pure red fruit, berry and tobacco tones on the palate. Long, long finish dominated by red fruit, iodine and forest floor qualities. Impressive. 96 pts.
