  October 19, 2012 - Johnny's Going Away Dinner (Scoozi, Chicago): Killer wine of the night for everyone I believe. This was singing on this occasion. Best bottle I've had yet.
  Let open in the bottle for an hour or two. Everything going on here. So much extraction yet restraint on the nose. Such royal dark berries, cigar, cassis. Flowers, minerals, sweet spice, a little funky and meaty with some light pepper and black truffle on the back end.
  One of the best California wines I've tasted. Fantastic body, grip and elegance. A super powerhouse with years to live but it's killer today. If you have multiple bottles I'd say open one now. Bravo. Hells yeah!
