January 5, 2013 - Decanted 1 hr. Deep ruby, purple tinge in rim, widely spaced slow-moving narrow legs @ 13% abv. Nice medium(-)-medium nose developing Medoc aromas of blackberries, brambles, graphite, earth, rather closed. Dry, medium(-) acidity, medium(-) ripe tannins, medium alcohol and medium-medium(+) body. Medium-medium(+) flavours of blackberries, cherrries, pepper, leather, and cocoa. Very pleasant fresh texture, well-balanced tannins-alcohol-body-acidity. Medium-good length, 8+ secs, long fruit-driven finish with even a sweet ripe chocolate-covered cherry note in the end. Elegant and restrained, a good wine.
