  March 9, 2013 - Celebrating Ben's birthday (Goosefoot, Chicago IL): Nose: This takes a little bit to get going, but it then revealed balanced and perfumed tones of dark red fruits, dark red cherries, brown spices, earth tones, a touch of balsamic, and dark florals.
  
  Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. Very well balanced with silky and layered tones of dark red fruits, brown spices, earth tones, and a touch of balsamic tones on the back end.
  
  Overall: This is a lovely and mature Clos Vougeot. It leaned to the more nuanced side with a real silkiness and layering on both the nose and palate.
