  September 22, 2013 - A small gathering at Mark's duck house - Grange, A shot in the dark, Rousseau, Yquem and more. (Marks duck house, Falls Church, Va): May be I should stop saying I am not a big fan of northern rhone whites. The initial nose of this wine is very different from la doriane which I tend to find a bit of heat. Incredible freshness, perfectly ripe yellow peach that ringers but no lychee fruits in the beginning. Excellent concentration, sweet ripe fruits but remains very fresh with bright acidity and minerality. With time, more lychee fruit emerges but remains very fresh. My first experience with this wine, a great wine that I need to seek.
