December 7, 2013 - PnP and then placed in a decanter at a dinner party with friends. Had with roast pork. Wine took a little time to open up, but when it did got a strong dark cherry flavor profile. After attack, a cinnamon spiciness kicked in. Wine had a strong mouth feel. You could almost feel it expand and fill your mouth with flavor in every sip. Well balanced, well made wine. Though I only paid an entry level BdM tariff for this, it had a "Big Boy Brunello" taste to it, far out-drinking its $24 price tag that I paid for this...Only knock in my opinion was a somewhat short finish.
Great QPR and a very good wine in general. Will buy again, if I can find at or around this price. Dinner guests also enjoyed bottle. I may be selling short at only 90 points had I given it time to decant up front.3,213 views
