  June 27, 2014 - This was drank at a local restaurant after decanting for 45 minutes. The wine was clear and a deep purple in colour. Lots of candied cherries on the nose. In the glass was a wine that wasn't quite "there" yet. Lots of cherries mixed with some honey flavours. The acidity level was nice but the tannins appeared to be quite overly strong and couple that with a noticeable alcohol aftertaste made for a wine that wasn't great tonight. Perhaps it had some bottle shock or needed more decanting time. Only the next bottle may tell but either way I was disappointed and expected more from a wine that Robert Parker rated 100.
