  July 13, 2014 - Brilliant ruby, offering a roasted, peppery bouquet of cassis, blackberries, fresh pine, lavender, hard candy, graphite, and a whiff of acetone. The palate is long, nicely integrated, with a dense consistency, and a ferrous quality that is very attractive. The black fruit and Asian spice flavors display the perfect amount of sweetness and the finish is laced with a tasty, Sichuan peppercorn spice. At its best and showing very well, especially with a decant.
