August 17, 2014 - Light golden yellow, clear.
A certain richness on the nose, but also with a subtle green streak. Butter! But also fruit freshness (pineapple?). Weird, in a sense, and not quite to my liking. Especially on day two, I thought the weirdness was due to the oak.
On the palate it is weightless, with beautiful tension. It has a texture of fine sand (again tannins from the oak?). Slightly bitter touch on the finish, which is all on lemon zest. Quite long.
I did not completely enjoy it now, but if the oak integrates well (meaning: the nose finds its balance and the tannins soften) it might become very nice.
