  September 7, 2014 - This is dark for 2010. The nose is all smoke and wood funk initially with stewed cherries, ripe strawberries, nutmeg, white pepper, pine forest floor, and mushrooms. The mouth feel is dense with flavors of dark cherries and earth. The wine is balanced and drinking well, with a smooth feel and long finish. Tobacco flavors creep up late in the finish. This is a dark and flavorful Pinot that is distinctly Oregon. It has the stuffing for aging but is perfectly approachable now in my opinion.
