  September 27, 2014 - On the nose, sea salt chocolate pieces with a background of fresh finished lacquer and pine wood. The lacquer lingers but it is not to bold. I had expected to smell some alcohol, At 14.5%, but the elements of this wine hide it well. Extremely smooth on the tongue. Flavors of vanilla and light cocoa, along with fall spices, cinnamon and nutmeg. It's finish washes down well and doesn't leave behind too much of the wines taste. I would suggest a solid pasta sauce or marinaded beef where you would want to enjoy the the complex flavors of the dish along with a great complimenting wine, and not a great wine with a complimenting dish. This is a good wine, and it's price is amazing considering it is grown in the same company of much higher priced wines.
