February 10, 2021 - Bought this on a whim having no idea of wine varietal or geography. Reminiscent of funky chinon or bourguiel or brouily. Highly aromatic and funk filled nose. Peppery, gamey, some Brett under tones, grape skins, grey flint and tart fruits. Very rustic and volcanic. Not for the faint of heart. Palate is light and lithe, beauj like with tart strawberry, watermelon rind, crushed rocks and stems. Unique and non traditional. Not for everyone I would imagine. More of a wine nerds wine. Canary Islands location makes this even more contemplative.
