Standup tasting. Also a light start, nicely bright, then more weight and depth as it moves forward. Tasty indeed now. Very good for its level.

5 months since last bottle. These are pop and pour and best consumed within 2 hours. Super smooth with fully resolved tannins. Well balanced Bordeaux blend. These are certainly in their prime and best consumed within 1-2 years. Revisit 2025

Apple and yeast on the nose. On the palate, green apple, peach, and notes of orange and lime citrus, with a fine bubble and strong acidity. This is excellent, and it was a good value at a little over $50.

Standup tasting. Bright and light red fruits, well balanced and easy for very good current consumption. Good value.

PnP, drank over 2 hr. Earthy jammy fruit in the nose, pronounced tannins balanced by acid and still concentrated black fruits, notes of cigar, pencil lead, vanilla, long complex finish. Drinks very well now, perhaps the beginning of a long drinking window.

My selection for Mother’s Day. Out of a magnum that I had in my cellar for a little while. Opened about half an hour before lunch at a Portuguese restaurant. The wine was a bit acidic at first but now 2 hours later is singing the national anthem!

Long finish and it shows no age at all, looks like a 7-10 years old wine.

Drink or hold

Popped and poured at cellar temp. Quite pale red color with just a hint of bricking on the rim. Cool earth, sandalwood and black pepper on a very savory nose. Also quite savory on the palate with salted cranberry, some meaty raspberry - the fruit there, but somewhat hidden behind the savory notes. Still good intensity and acidity suggests it will go for some time, just not sure it has the oomph of some of the other Rhys vineyards from 2014.

Standup tasting. Black cherry with bits of plum and currant. this is rich while well balanced with impressive depth. Glad I bought a 6-pack to cellar for a few years, better 2027-2036+.

Great wine - drank over 3 days and it still held up. Tobin James continues to impress.

Really tasty, fruit forward but not sweet. Nice rounded mouthfeel, smells of apple and passionfruit. Tastes of lemon curd with a touch of minerality. Great structure.

Standup tasting. Bright red array of fruit with wonderful balance and an unexpectedly long finish. Gravelly textures I enjoy that add another dimension now, and indicate further and intriguing upside from here.

Red fruits to me (red cherry) with early tertiary notes of tobacco leaf and forest floor. Excellent balance. Outperforms the vintage. Early drinking window. Would definitely buy more.

Sourced entirely from Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay, this particular bottle is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay that was disgorged 8/6/2021 (dosage 8 g/l, lot identifier L181159). Light golden in color, it sports a brisk tiny bead and an intense aromatic array of lime zest, Mandarin oranges, coriander seed, brioche, hazelnuts and marzipan. Medium-bodied, vibrantly acidic and with a creamy-textured mousse, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose. With a solid mid-palate and an energetic, lengthy finish, this is a very impressive non-vintage Champagne. Drink now-2028.

Standup tasting. Also showing bright black and red cherry, without quite the substance as the Bachelet just tasted. So slightly more delicate, just as well balanced.

Easy drinking. Red fruits like raspberry and young strawberry. Goes well alone or with food. Solid finish that leaves you wanting more.

It's ok. Never had this before, and maybe as one person writes, the vintage is not great… I expected a little bit more complexity, body, or interest. Nice nose, simple palate, medium body, medium finish. Meh. It's pleasant and well balanced, but not worthy of further praise to me.

Standup tasting. A great success in the vintage. Black and red cherry throughout, faintly meaty and tannic while with overall fine balance. Good now. Lots here to enjoy now and through the next decade.

Standup tasting. More red than black cherry with good enough weight and subtle spice. Not the complex combination this wine typically already shows young, but easy and good now through the next 5-8 years.

Very dark gold color. Camomile and butter dominate the nose, with an off putting metallic tone. This might need a decant and it’s probably just over the hill. Same elements on the palate with mild acidity. Medium depth with some acid on the finish. Not what I was expecting, but probably waited too to drink.

Standup tasting. I rarely taste this wine, but found it very fun today with lots of bright berry throughout, even if slightly fleshy and simple. Fun and good value wine.

Standup tasting. Noticeably reductive vs when tasted in March. Good weight is clear, even if little pleasure forthcoming right now. I am confident this will come together, even if not for the next few years.

This Chablis is intensive, steely, powerful and structured, yet also fruity and fresh by nature. It is displaying charming notes of minerals, lemon and grass. It is hard to say, how this wine will evolve, but at least it is very enjoyable now!

Full-bodied wine has a great nose and very good acidity, though it could be better. It improved with some air. Paired wonderfully with a medium-rare New York strip steak and fries with béarnaise sauce. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would give it a B+.

This was a pop and pour and would certainly benefit from time in the decanter, about and hour should suffice. A spicy elixir of high toned cherry notes followed by a touch of pepper. Undoubtedly new world without any signs of heat. Well balanced and a crowd pleaser. This is far from the burgundy I like but a solid wine in its prime with another 3-5 years of good drinking.

A good Albariño-, serve at 10C to release all the flavours. Good weight and texture from the lees contact, balanced fresh minerally wine with saline savoury palate gentle citrus and peach.

Popped in board.

Dark magenta color; violet nose.
Extremely fruit forward, yet dry. Mineral-laden black fruit, tart acidity, with a bit of tannins on the back end. It may need a bit of bottle age.

Very, very nice.
Tons of apricots, a bit of pear, elderberry and honey.
Great balance: there is substantial sweetness here but it is so well balanced by acidity & co that the wine does not feel overly sweet at all.
We managed to drink a bottle of this within 2 hours with great ease.
If there's anything to criticise (on a very high level), it's that the aftertaste doesn't quite follow through with the rest and is a bit simpler.
But it has to be clear that this is an excellent wine.
