Colour: pale ruby, translucent
Nose: medium intensity, primary, youthful. strawberry, raspberry, cherry. Strawberry jam. Red fruit candy. Hint of savoury character - cough syrup? Stems? Carbon dioxide from the bubbles initially overwhelming when first opened & poured.
Palate: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(-) tannins, aggressive mousse (not aggressive moose!), medium alcohol (11,5%), medium bodied. Medium intensity, medium length finish. strawberry, raspberry, cherry. Strawberry jam. Balsamic vinegar. Wet stone, slightly saline edge.
Conclusions: good to very good. Can drink now, but maybe suited to short-term ageing? P&P (pop&pour), not decanted.

Reinhold and Cornelia Schneider create authentic and just beautiful German Pinots!Organically grown in Endingen, Germany on Vulcanic soil. This is their medium entry level Spätburgunder. Such a great wine for the money! Very classical Pinot with a red fruit nose. cherry and some strawberry and crips acidity holds it all together beautifully. Pleasant medium finish and balance tannins.
This wine will put a smile on anyone’s face who has a nack for classic Pinot.

Expressive nose displaying slightly coiled red fruit, strawberry, unripe cherry, red currant, stem, liquid smoke, Vosne spice, rose and earth. Excellent concentration, coiled concentrated cool red fruit, silky, a bit angular, bright acidity, earthy mineral, and a long concentrated red fruit driven finish with a hint of stem at the end. The 21 La Tache is the most concentrated DRC of the 21 DRC line up. It is a bit angular.

Opened a magnum of the Veeder and gave it a half hour in the glass. It was spectacular. Rich with silly mouth feel and intense red & blue fruit cab favors, but still light on its feet and not weighty. Nose opened up after some extended swirling in the glass. Delicious mount Veeder fruit. Despite some nay saying of the 2012 vintage, I love it, and this is a perfect example. This wine could go on for a decade or more, IMO.

Die klassischen SB-Elemente, v.a. Stachelbeere. Insgesamt aber für einen trockenen Wein zu süß, was die anderen Aromen teilweise überdeckt.

Pale lemon. Lime, Asian pear, menthol, cream, vanilla. Posed with a delicate zing. Austere palate with toasted notes and bitter lemon. High acidity.

A new wave wine for Szekszárd: pure and unforced. Some development already. Vintage sour cherry jam, rosehips on the nose. Quite delicate, medium-bodied and round. Not complex but appealing, savoury, classic Old World style.

Continued to develop nicely, but drinking very well right now. I see no reason to wait. But I'm also happy that I have a couple more bottles to check in over the next few years.

Still drinking very nicely. No rush on this. But also has not evolved a ton over the last couple of years... so not expecting any major evolution.

At a Rhone Ringers tasting. Big dark/black fruit, sweet and almost unctious but in a good way. In spite of the obvious alcohol (15.1%) more formal than rustic, like a huge man in a tuxedo. My first guess was mourvedre and indeed that's the largest component in this impressive GSM bottling.

Took to Bill's Rhone Ringers tasting where I thought it would excel and it did; had everything one hopes for from a great Northern Rhone. Cherry-plummy fruit with green olive, white pepper and some tire shop. Outstanding.

Beautiful, serious wine. Top tier blaufrankisch. Expensive, elegant oak adds an almost Burgundian touch to it. Cool climate freshness. Black cherries, blueberries on the nose. Hardly medium-bodied and quite polished. Great tannins. The style is a bit on the modern side, but done well. Outstanding.

At a Rhone Ringers blind tasting with the unlucky job of following a perfect California syrah, this stood out for sweet red licorice flavors and simplicity. Notably didn't have any of the pomegranate and spice one hopes for from this grape.

Blind at a Rhone Ringers tasting. Sweet dark cherry fruit and pepper are unmistakably syrah and California seems likeliest origins, I even guessed the winery. Beautifully mature and elegant. My WOTN.

PNP. Deep dark intense magenta color. Blackberry, blueberry, milk-soaked graham cracker, and subtle licorice. Smooth, dry palate, with satiny, center of the tongue acidity. Firm, full, lower intensity tannins on the medium long finish.

This is an extracted, easy drinker. Served on my United flight from Amsterdam to Houston. It was served too cold, so it might be better than my score suggests, but may also come across even more extracted when warmer.

Coop's bottle. Bottle age has brought out baked fruits. I found the finish a little cloying, but that wasn't an issue for others.

Light, citrussy, vegetal and crisp. Very good flavors but roussanne can have more body and I would prefer that. If the tasting theme had not been 'Rhone Ringers', albarino would have been my first guess.

Surprisingly youthful despite its 24 years of age. Delicious, already showing some tertiary aromas but retaining a lot of fruit. A winner.

The fruit is sour cherry up front. It’s lush with a distinct acid finish. There is very little tannin. This makes the softness of the fruit and the sourness of the acidity all the more noticeable. There are some positive notes of cola to the predominantly Merlot fruit.

Peach Farm. There was some pleasure to be found, with good acidity and right amount of oak presence, but this bottle was clearly on the downslope.

Very ripe strawberries, spice and a little leather. Lots of red Grenache character. Big juicy wine. High. ABV but carries it really well served chills. Little bitter orange on the finish. Nice and dry.

Peach Farm. Served as a mystery wine. Guesses centered around Alsatian Riesling, but something different about it or even something off. Indeed some Riesling in the nose, some petrol. I didn't like this as much as I thought I would from reading notes. A little sharp at the end. Maybe try again in 1-2 years.

This is pale yellow in the glass, and has appealing aromas of citrus and riper stone fruit. With air, a slightly oily note appears as well. This sees time on lees and in oak and that shows in the riper notes, but is well judged. On the first day the acidity is quite pleasing but after 24 hours its fallen just a shade flabby which is slightly disappointing. For the EU12.95 I see online direct from the producer this is a bargain especially with its crazy over produced packaging. For the notional UK price of £28 it would be awful value.

Deep ruby colour. Pronounced and developing nose with blackcurrant, ripe black plum, green bell pepper, cedar, tobacco, vanilla, smoke and blackcurrant leaves. Pronounced taste of blackcurrant, ripe blackberries, green bell pepper, cedar, tobacco, warm spices and vanilla. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium tannins. Full body. An outstanding Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now or over the next twenty years, at least. Goes well with beef or lamb.

Expressive nose displaying perfectly ripe black fruit, blackberry, black cherry, caramel, strong stem, Vosne spice and earth. Very good concentration, nicely layered pure black fruit, rich and oily, bright acidity, strong earthy mineral, and a long generous black fruit driven finish with a hint of stem at the end. This too shows a hint of bitterness. It is more concentration than the 21 GE.

A simple, pleasant Malbec, just fine with mid-week Elk burgers. A bit less fruity than other Malbecs. We have had and enjoyed other vintages of this.

33/33/34 of each pinot noir, chardonnay and meunier. 4 g/l. The very light yellow colour is somewhat deceptive as the bouquet has decent depth with hints of confit fruit and autolysis. Mid-range palate, not overly long although the acidity keeps going. Very primary on the fruit profile with some deeper notes. Fairly good actually, though bot necessarily unforgettable.

Rich nose showing ripe peach, some ripe apples and a hint of lemony fruit. Medium to full bodied, dry, rather fruity, delivering mainly ripe peach with decent lean acidity. A little more acidity would have been nice. Overall a pleasant Pinot Gris.
