Lemon, lime and pear. Some good acid cut along with nice fruit concentration - there is just the bare hint of some residual sugar (5 g/l) which I think gives it a nice little extra balance.

Almost water coloured. Apple, pear and spice aromas. Good punch to the fruit and really good carry and length. Super young but should develop well.

Slate, mineral, some sea spray and apple. Medium bodied, still feels very youthful. Has good carry and is nice drinking but has the potential to get better.

Some herb and lemon. The herb shows on the palate as well. There is nice balance to it and a good amount of freshness. Drinks well now.

Mineral and pear, light florals and a licorice twist. More finesse in this than the Kamptaler it was next to. Good length and I like the mineral kick it has.

Pungent lemon, spice and earth. Medium length, the fruit does assert itself nicely. Good.

Wild herb, citrus, peach and spice. Poised and very pure, with a mineral core playing against the fruit richness. Really lovely and will improve.

Appealing aromatics with musky florals, lemon and mandarin. Approachable on the palate, there is a good acid core with a lick of fruit richness. Lovely.

Spice and lemon. Does have some drive on the palate. Adequate for the level but not very exciting.

Honey, straw and peach. Palate shows its fruity and sugar side, more so than the Donnhoff Spatlese it was next to. This was fine but lacked a little depth.

Toast, honey and wax. Nice mouthfeel, has developed well and is drinking near its peak now.

Rubber and musk - fairly reduced. The palate has roundness to it, it isn't especially bright and it could do with a little more acid. Decent but I wasn't feeling that good about it.

Lime, herb and some minerals. Good acidity, I like the drive and fruit purity.

Floral, some herb, lemon and quite aromatic overall. Acid strings things along nicely, though it feels a touch shallow. Nice to drink overall.

Musky florals, lemon, pear and slate. Has good texture on the palate, I like the medium fruit intensity and balance. Should improve with time.

Apricot, herb and lemon. Palate is medium bodied, there is some up and down acidity that should come together with time. There is a little residual sugar that I think helps it along but I did prefer the 2012 to this one.

Smoke and floral soap with some ginger and a mineral element. Lighter bodied than the 2013, there is a little less ripeness and I think it is better balanced for it. A nice little line of minerality stretches along the palate. Very good.

Spice, apple, pear, earth and some funky sulphur. Some richness initially that falls back into place quickly. Good flavour punch and a nice acid based crunch.

Violet, earth, pear and a peach character. Good texture, some earth showing through. Rich but follows through well. Good now and would use a couple of years in the bottle well.

Floral and straw. Light character and weight on the palate, it is balanced well and is nice for the level it is aimed at but doesn't really rise above.

Perfumed nose with lime, florals, slate and toast. The balance of fruit and minerality is very good, this seems pretty approachable and I'd like to see it with a bit more age as well.

Grape, peach, musk. Light palate, touched by sweetness. Okay.

Pear and spice. Medium length, with a decent amount of flavour intensity. Not complex but not too bad.

Lifts up aromatically with florals, plum, lemon and slate. Good lemon acidity, good length. I like the flow and interest.

Lemon, herb and roses. Pleasant on the palate without being overly exciting. Decent balance and length. Right in the middle.

Honey, slate, pepper and lemon. Just the right fruit intensity on the palate, has a bit of roundness to it and it is really very enjoyable to drink. If it had a little more complexity it would be really something special.
