White
2009 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru

Popcorn, spice, lemon and lime with peach also part of the aroma profile. Fantastic on the palate, there is some richness but the overall feeling is of poise and great balance. Excellent at the moment and should hopefully continue forward.
Red
2005 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru
90 points
Stalk, cherry, earth, blood and raspberry - quite expressive at the moment. Good body, with persistence and good background tannins supporting. It all sits nicely together and is drinking well.
Red
2011 Domaine G. Roumier / Christophe Roumier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
91 points
Really pretty nose - violet, spice, graphite and cherry. Nicely balanced palate, there is depth to the fruit and while it is quite full weighted there is a pure element to the fruit that keeps it vibrant. Good acidity. Will be lovely over the medium-long term.
Red
2003 Bodegas Vega-Sicilia Ribera del Duero Valbuena 5° Spain, Castilla y León, Ribera del Duero
92 points
Blackcurrant, graphite, cherry and garrigue. Nicely textured, plenty of savoury notes, I really like the restrained fruit profile. Tannins are starting to resolve out. Excellent now and over the next 5-6 years.
