Orchard fruit aromas and flavors with moderate weight and depth. Good now, i wouldn't hold this much past the next few years. Some thought this had some bitter notes more common in 2004 reds, but I couldn't find any of that.

Enticing floral start with lots of orchard fruit and slightly sweet spice. Good when first tasted, certainly better when finished 3 hours later. Consistent with when tasted in Burgundy, much better than i recall from when tasted here a few months back. Still not a wine for long term cellaring, i'd expect this best 2019-2028.

Slightly rugged and reduced to start, this really needed 30+ minutes in glass to be appreciated. At the one hour mark, this showed green apple, yellow pear, nutmeg, allspice and floral charm. Kept getting bigger and better from there, with faint tropical hints that never really took center stage, but stayed charmingly in the background.

Very good spice and floral start with maturing red fruit. Similar on palate with slightly sweeter flavors profile and moderate length and weight. Better with food than on its own, with the sweet notes softened. Best after in glass for 1+ hour, but started to shorten by the end of the evening.

Tasted single blind. I thought this was the 2006 vintage, given its forward and incredibly charming character. Asian spice spoke to me here with lots of red, blue and black berries. Wonderful and easily accessible now. A very small step over what turned out to be the 2006.

Disappointing, seemed slightly heat damaged despite wonderfully mature red fruit and spice. Perhaps 90 points tonight, but a shadow of how well this wine has previously performed. We kept trying to taste and re-taste this wine into something better that simply was not there.

Tasted single blind in flight, I feel slightly stupid incorrectly thinking this was the 2008 since I have had this wine twice in the past year. Great spice, powerful red cherry/berry and concentration. I found this more backward vs the other wine, and used vintage stereotypes to think the 2008 had to be more firm. Tonight the 2008 was better, but there might be greater long-term potential in this 2006 charmer.

Popped-decanted-and-poured. Started slowly, finished wonderfully. Given the Olympics, this is not a 100m sprinter, and while not a marathon wine, it's Rio's Mo Farah, crushing the 10,000m with a stunning final lap.
