N.V. Egly-Ouriet Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs Les Crayères France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
Degorgement July 2015. Still young. Impressive material, nose bit closed, taste concentrated, expressive. Drinks well, will improve in time.
White
2013 Coche-Dury Bourgogne Blanc France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Blanc
Nose citrus, some herbs. Taste expressive, lots of body and acidity. Still young. Fine.
White
2008 Didier Dagueneau Silex France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Pouilly-Fumé
Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc, showing how complex these wines can be in the hands of good producers. Lemon and stone fruit, herbs. Fine.

White
2007 Domaine Roulot Meursault Les Tillets France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
Beautiful Roulot wine, lemon, some butter, minerals, raciness, typical tension in taste and finish that makes these wines so special. Very fine.
White
2006 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bourgogne Blanc France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Blanc
This is more than just a Bourgogne blanc, this is declassified Musigny blanc and it shows! Exciting wine because it evolved in the glass during the evening. It started rather primary with citrus, minerals and acidity. Later on cream, butter, many different fruit tones and complex mineral and stoney tones. Chevalier / Batard level of wine. This was really a treat. Very fine, very special.
White - Sparkling
1978 Louis Roederer Champagne Cristal Brut France, Champagne
My first old Cristal, in fact almost 40 years old. Secondary fruit, caramel and sherry tones balanced by good remaining acidity. I had to get used to this style of mature champagne. Got more complex in the glass. Fine to very fine.
Red
1990 Maison Leroy Gevrey-Chambertin France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin
Really lovely wine by Leroy. Although this is a 26 year old village Burgundy, this wine excelled. Red fruit, secondary tones of mushroom, still nice acidity. Very fine, very special.
Red
2003 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos St. Jacques Vieille Vigne France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Fourrier, one of my favorite producers. Was interested what he had accomplished in the difficult 2003 year. He hardly ever dissapoints and again did not with this wine. Dark fruit, concentration, fresh with good acidity, great minerality. Just a bit of tartness. What a treat. Very fine.
Red
2014 Domaine Maume-Marchand-Tawse Mazoyères-Chambertin France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru
Nose of earth, sous-bois, dark fruit. A real Mazoyeres, big wine. Fine to very fine.
Red
2014 Georges Noellat Grands-Echezeaux France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Grands-Echezeaux Grand Cru
Closed nose, which opens up in the glass. Complex tones of red fruit, cherry, spice, sweetness. Will develop in a great wine I think. Very fine.
Red
2004 Les Forts de Latour France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
Dark fruit, graphite, earth. Mid-palate medium concentrated, however with lots of energy. Round tannins in the finish. Fine to very fine.
Red
2003 Château Montrose France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe
Great Montrose. Lovely nose with dark fruit, graphite, earth, eucalyptus. Silky taste, concentrated fruit, soft tannins. Very fine, exquisite Bordeaux.

Red
1990 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
Dark fruit, round integrated tannins, velvety taste with lovely secondary tones of leather and some mushroom. Is still fresh for a 1990 Bordeaux. Very fine, exquisite Bordeaux.
Red
1982 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien
Another great Bordeaux from a super year. Dark and some red fruit, coffee, plum, concentrated. Spicy. Very fine.
