Citrus, earth, lemon and apricot. Fresh and sweet mingling well on the palate, this is pretty tasty early on in its life, a touch more spark would be good but this is very solid.

Floral, pear, peach and slate. Quite ripe on the palate, with some spice and pepper notes. Good length. Still improving with air.

Corked.

Vanilla, pine, yellow florals and some tropical notes with a mineral backbone. Very good length, nice texture and flavour intensity. Showing off its pedigree already, but will definitely benefit from more time.

Caramel, ginger and ash. Sweet on the palate with some woody and earthy notes as well. Medium length. Drink now.

Floral, lime and kiwi. Delicious palate, it is tangy with spark from the acidity and light sweetness. Ethereal and airy.

Cherry liqueur, redcurrant and toast. The palate shows moderate fruit and light structure. Medium length. Good balance but doesn't show the trademark producer lift and spark.

Cherry, roses, redcurrant and tar on the nose. Medium bodied palate, there is some sweet fruit and roundness starting to come through. Probably in a bit of a transitional phase right now, but still very nice.

Redcurrant, raspberry, earth and spice. Nice savoury profile on the palate, with an ash and smoke complimenting the earth. Good length and balance. Really promising wine.

Blind. Stemmy, licorice, smoke and iron - good lift and perfume. Palate has light fruit weight with some spice and moderate tannins. In a pretty good place but will certainly hold for longer.

Cherry, smoke, roses, spice and slate. Superb purity on the palate, stunningly beautiful fruit with excellent flavour and acidity that really lifts the wine. Outstanding balance. Awesome stuff.

Dark fruit - plum, blackberry, licorice and some oak on the nose. Heaps of fruit weight and extraction showing through, this is plush and the oak does give it some structure. Desperately in need of time.

Beetroot, pepper, redskins and rhubarb. Palate has less of that sweet lean, with the acidity coming through nicely. Should drink well over the next 5-6 years.

Charcoal, ash, tar, blackcurrant and licorice - the nose is quite pretty and open. Some plushness but it has really well controlled and proportioned tannins - delivering excellent balance. Great length, this is immensely classy now and will be well into the future.

Raspberry, redcurrant, blueberry and violets. The palate is quite pretty, with lighter styled structure. Good texture and length. I wonder if the fruit doesn't quite have the depth to provide a long term prospect here.

Quince, pear, apricot and orange. Lovely freshness, cleans up the sweetness really well. Really good balance as well, this has excellent length. Not usually a fan of the Loosen wines but his Erdener Pralat is the exception.

Corked.

#16. Wow, so much going on with something new shown on each sniff - spice, orange, rosewater, toast, coconut, lime and grapefruit. Superb complexity on the palate as well, the balance is stunning, with the sweetness quite delicate and acidity still pushing through. The last bottle of this was stunning, but tonight had an extra dash of magic.
