This was a Cyber Monday special for $180 a case and we bought 2 cases and picked them up today during our visit.

Tasting Silver Oak Healdsburg (Silver Oak Cellars Healdsburg, Ca.): Second time tasting the legendary Timeless which honors Co-Founder Ray Duncan and named for a song co-written by his son, David, to his Father.
The release date is September 1, 2020. Nose of black berry pie freshly baked, red cherry, black cherry, black berry, and floral notes, more of the same on the palate, big body, tasted 3 times over the 2 hour tasting, lovely texture , elegant, and mouth filling, young, needs 3 years to peak, rich fruit, lovely fruit, very tasty, and a lovely medium/long finish with medium amount of soft tannins present, showing a medium amount of very soft tannins. Tasting made a more favorable mark so a higher score today. Bought 2 more bottles as Kathy loved it.

Tasting Silver Oak Healdsburg (Silver Oak Cellars Healdsburg, Ca.): opened by me for Tom and the staff, nose of black currants, black berry, spring flowers, and a touch of mint, same on the palate, medium/big body, time to enjoy is now, elegant, mouth filling fruit, very tasty, richer than the bottle opened last week although from the same auction lot, favorable comment from all, lovely, long finish, and flavorful aftertaste.

Tasting Silver Oak Healdsburg (Silver Oak Cellars Healdsburg, Ca.): Nose of cinnamon, sage, black berry, black cherry, sage, briar, and spring flowers, same on the palate, big body, young, surprisingly fruit forward for this vintage and youthful age, very tasty, easily last 20 years and needs 4 years to peak, mouth filling fruit, great tasting starting point, soft tannins, and a long, long finish.

Tasting Silver Oak Healdsburg (Silver Oak Cellars Healdsburg, Ca.): A pleasant surprise was a tasting of this Merlot, thank you Tom, nose of black cherry, red cherry, more like a Cabernet Sauvignon nose to me today, same on the palate, tasty, rich, lovely, elegant, will improve over the next 3 years but why wait, and last another 12 years, terrific finish and lovely aftertaste, tasted twice today.

Tasting Silver Oak Healdsburg (Silver Oak Cellars Healdsburg, Ca.): Tom also surprised us with a taste of this Pinot Noir-thank you Tom. Nose of sweet and sour fruit, cigar box, plum, and saddle leather, same on the palate, medium/big body juicy, rich fruit, and boysenberry, same on the palate, big body, easy to sip and savor with or without food, enjoy today or anytime during the next 7 years, mouth filling fruit, 20% Red Burgundy like to me, and a lovely, long finish, and lovely aftertaste.

Tasting Silver Oak Healdsburg (Silver Oak Cellars Healdsburg, Ca.): Kathy noted ammonia on the first pour so a new bottle was opened by the staff and tasted, nose of black cherry, sage, and forest floor, big body, tasty, rich fruit, at peak so needs to be opened and enjoyed at its peak in my opinion, in the next 6 months, but will hold up for another 8 years, and a long, long finish.

Tasting Silver Oak Healdsburg (Silver Oak Cellars Healdsburg, Ca.): Nose of black berry, and mocha, same on the palate, very tight, even unyielding today, opened slowly over the 2 hour visit, big body, last place today, nothing wrong just needs time to develop, maybe 5 years, mouth filling fruit, soft tannins present, long finish.

Nose of black berry, cassis, floral spring bouquet, floor and earth, medium/big body, tasty, mouth filling fruit, showing its ag tonight but Kathy and I thought it beautiful old style Bordeaux, and a long, pleasant finish.
