Flight 1 (5 notes)

White
2007 Domaine Roulot Meursault Les Tillets France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault

Plenty of green apple with Meyer lemon. Very bright start-to-finish with an expanding finish. Great when popped-and-poured, even better two hours later.
Red
2010 Domaine Dujac Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
92 points
Massive spice box with a complex array of both ripe and lean cherry, both red and black. So much here, but I find the whole cluster spice slightly too pronounced right now, making this the rare 2010 that isn’t quite ready.
Red
2007 Domaine G. Roumier / Christophe Roumier Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Clos de La Bussière France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis 1er Cru
93 points
Red cherry and berry everywhere with background savory spice, meat, floral and lather notes. Everything in wonderful harmony. Good weight, very good length. Very good now.
Red
2005 Hospices de Beaune Mazis-Chambertin Cuvée Madeleine Collignon Roumier France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru

Red
2005 Hospices de Beaune Corton-Cuvée Charlotte Dumay Roumier France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
90 points
Ripe cross-section of black fruit with subtle meatiness, still showing assertive tannins. Very fun and enticing aromas (Frank describes it as “sunshine”), even if ever-so-slightly backward. Palate shows the same potential, but even more backwardness for now, better 20205-.
