Flight 1 (3 notes)

Red
2011 Marc Sorrel Hermitage France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Hermitage
bottle provided by co-worker, opeped at 18.10 tasted 19.45, tasted in Riedel performance syrah
The wine shows evolved color
Fragrant, elegant, red cherry, light floral notes, some spice hints in the back
Palate is elegant again, juicy tannins, smooth texture, spice and earthy notes, nutty, almond notes, med body, med finish
With more and air, the wine expands a bit with no changes in texture
I expected more
White
2021 Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc OTQ New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough
Extrovert, joyful, tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, grassy notes, a thin nutty layer
Palate with power, oak is quite upfront, high acidity, almond, walnut, ripe fruit, stone fruit, apricot, peach, textured, there are some sweet/vanilla/caramel notes, again the high-end grassy NZ element, long persistent finish
Needs time
White
2018 Manousakis Nostos Muscat of Spina Greece, Crete
flawed
oxidized and a bit corked
