Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Savart Champagne Premier Cru Bulle de Rosé Extra Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
92 points
The nose is lively and balanced with orange peels, nectarines, meyer lemons, toasty notes, hazelnuts, rose petals, biscuits, berries, and some cinnamon stick. There is excellent complexity here with the tones showing more freshness than oxidative qualities. The Medium bodied feel carries through the balance of the nose along with racy, high acidity. This is a recent disgorgement and could likely benefit from a year or two of aging. That said, it's really fun right now with a real youthful energy.

N.V. Savart Champagne Premier Cru l'Ouverture Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
90 points
This shows off the oxidative qualities of Savart to a T. The nose is aromatic with toasty notes, nougat, nectarines, bosc pars, red apples, quince, vanilla beans, berries, nutty notes, and a touch of rancio sneaking in. This shows off excellent complexity, but the tones don't really dig too deep beneath the surface at the moment. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and refreshing with crisp, high acidity. The acidity has some nice cut to it while also showing off a real mouthwatering side as well. This is a fun intro into Savart that shows off what they do best, but it doesn't hit the real high notes they can hit.

N.V. Savart Champagne Premier Cru L'Accomplie Extra Brut Vieilles Vignes France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
92 points
This is really aromatic on the nose as the tones of almonds, red apples, bosc pears, biscuits, nectarines, toast, candied lemons, and yellow flowers all weave together beautifully with just the right amount of oxidative tones. The Medium bodied feel is well balanced and lively with racy, high acidity and a lengthy finish. This is showing off a different level from the previous two wines and is where things start to get serious.

2018 Savart Champagne Premier Cru Les Noues France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru

This is complex and deep right away as it shows off a touch of matchstick at first that then peels back into pears, red apples, roasted nuts, berries, vanilla beans, daffodils, kumquat, mint, and some fresh herbs. This leans more into the oxidative side as the fruit shows some bruisting. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and with a lengthy finish that is supported by tart, high acidity. This is a killer Savart. If a more oxidative Champagne is what you crave, then look no further than right here!

2018 Savart Champagne Premier Cru Le Mont Benoit France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru

The nose is succulent and complex as it really draws you in with enticing tones of navel oranges, nectarines, toasty notes, bosc pears, flint, vanilla beans, brioche, roasted nuts, and some yellow florals. This is the kind of nose that I just love taking my time with. There is a level of depth showing off here already that I can't get enough of. The Medium bodied feel is well balanced and silky with tart, high acidity. This is just a killer, young champagne that is at the beginning of its journey. This likely will benefit from another 3-5+ years to really come together and show off beautiful harmony.

2019 Savart Champagne Premier Cru Le Mont des Chrétiens France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru

Oh baby! This nose, just so much going on and also different from the other Savarts in the lineup. There is so much complexity to the tones of ginger, chamomile, pears, apples, yellow flowers, peaches, toasty notes, quince, vanilla beans, and some orange peels. The Medium bodied feel is textured and silky with tart, high acidity that just makes your mouth water. This was raised in oak, so it shows off a very different side from what Savart normally does. I'm really digging this and there is so much complexity already with it showing plenty of ability to age and get better from here.
