Deep color, nice depth of flavor. A good general wine. It lacks some of the Malbec characteristics, but, in general, a better than average wine.

This was a very balanced, lightly mixed wine that went down very nicely. It went very good with our beef dinner and I think this was better than expected.

An older bordeaux ... We thought we had a find. It was was a very good bordeaux with the extra taste associated with an older bordeaux. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this wine was both disappointing and very good. I think my impression of an older bordeaux is not exactly in tune with reality. Nonetheless this is a good wine worth having on hand for a special occasion.

A good Malbec that seemed to improve as it sat and more things were with it. I think this wine, too, will improve with time.

A truly world class bottle of wine. This is why Bordeaux is the best. The complexity and overall enjoyment of this bottle was head and shoulders above anything we've ever drank; it's a totally different class than the younger, but good wines we are used to drinking. It'll be interesting to see if these older wines are truly better or are we just experiencing a different flavor.
