Amazingly balanced and hardly sweet. Old school auslese. This needs some good air though.

This drank amazingly right from open and remained interesting for hours. A good balance of fruit and structure at this stage.

Purchased on release and stored properly. This wine showed no signs of any issue, just a gorgeously moderately mature white burgundy. Wonderful wine.

from 375ml. PnP and drank over two hours. This has developed nicely and is in a good drinking phase. The fruits are in balance with the structure and tannins, especially after a little air.

This was an amazing wine. Decanted directly from the cellar and tasted over six hours. The first 2-3 hours after opening revealed an increasingly compelling wine. All standard typicity with a solid fruit and tannin backbone. By four hours, it started to shut down and was unchanging even 24 hours later.

Interesting, but I'm not sure how to describe it. I picked up a note of licorice on the nose that I found peculiar. There were myraid red fruits and earthy elements on taste. Like I said, quite interesting, but not something I'll buy again.

Purchased this magnum on release and stored properly since. This bottle took some time to open up. I tasted it over a couple of hours and towards the end, the white fruits emerged along with a deft touch of balsa wood. The acid is still there as well. I happened to end up leaving 2/3 of this in my standard fridge, which I returned to 48 hours later. By this time, the wine had opened up even further such that all the components seemed to join into a more compelling wine.

I acquired this 3L directly from Ryan Zepaltas nearly five years ago. It didn't fit into any of my storage options so its been kept in a closet at ambient temperature since. The corked disintegrated and I feared the worst, but my fear was unfounded. What a marvelous wine. The aromatics included strawberry and flowers. As it opened up, the wine developed a strong spice element to go along with the fruit. Great finish.

Honeycomb and tropical sweetness are balanced by an interesting minerality and good acidity. More open for business than the Prum of the same name but truly lovely.

Minerality and salinity come across much more here than on the Kabinett. The sweetness is mild and it is followed by plenty of acidity. I actually think this might be closed down a little as the fruit is hard to decipher. Hold.

I found a slight, recent leak from this bottle so I opened it the following day. This was decanted for about an hour as it warmed up a bit. Holy crap, this was an amazing bottle. There were apricots along with other white fruits, honeycomb, a slight salinity and an epic finish. The acidity kept it all in balance. Amazing.

Recent purchase from Benchmark. Perfect fill and cork. Opened and followed over the course of several hours. I really enjoyed this. The wine showed the typical tertiary notes of a bordeaux of this age. However, there were plenty of light red fruits to combine with the tobacco and graphite. An excellent and balanced wine, but I'd hoped for more.

Decanted for an hour prior to drinking over the next three. This was a larger and somewhat riper Bosconia compared to other vintages I've had early on. Still, this is going to be a very nice wine in time. The fruit, acid, and structure are all there. Hold.

The bottle I opened about a year ago was extraordinarily covered by dill. This bottle was far more in balance. The american oak was still present but didn't stand out above the other components. This was a very enjoyable bottle. I'm doubtful that one year was enough time for the oak to integrate, which makes me think this is more likely bottle variation.

Acquired recently from a reliable retailer. Opened and followed for about two hours. Initially, the wine had some dark fruit and plenty of tertiary elements including leather, tobacco, and even some graphite. Over time, the tertiary elements began to dominate, making it come across as past peak.

Unlike the 2015 which I had recently, the oak on this bottle is disjointed and the wine had an overwhelming vanilla flavor. Good fruit behind it, but couldn't get past the oak.

I really like this wine. The fruit comes across as kind of a dried cranberry meets a touch of strawberry. Solid acidity and overall balance. One glass survived to the following day and I found it even more lively and enjoyable than the previous night. Hopefully I can keep my hands off the remaining bottles for a while.

This was a nicely balanced wine but not at its best. I noticed the next day that this bottle came from Premier Cru. One of a handful of bottles I extracted from them before things went completely under. In short, I feel that provenance was suspect on this bottle.

This bottle was hand corked after a bulk purchase from the winery door back in the day. I recently acquired several of these. Other what was just stated, the bottle and cork were in pristine condition. The wine did show some very slight oxidative notes but there was plenty of ripe red fruit and tar as well. Very enjoyable.

Perfect fill and easily removed cork. This was fragrant right out of the gate with casiss, tobacco leaf, graphite, and balsa wood. The palate added from bright red fruits to the mix. The acid was still there and helped with the finish that was just a bit lacking. Otherwise, outstanding.

Marmalade, apricot, beeswax, maybe even some mango in there. This was nice right out of the gate. The acidity balances out the sweetness just right. Excellent.
